SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference officially announced their All-Academic honors for the 2023-24 men's basketball season on Wednesday morning.
Â
For San Francisco,
Justin Bieker and
Volodymyr Markovetskyy were each selected to the WCC's All-Academic Team. Notably, Bieker is studying Entrepreneurship & Innovation and finished the fall semester with a 3.62 GPA while Markovetskyy, a Communications Studies major, recorded a 3.68 GPA. Additionally, Markovetskyy earned WCC All-Academic honors for the second straight year after being named an Honorable Mention in 2022-23.
As a team, the Dons tied Saint Mary's and LMU for the league lead with two student-athletes on this year's All-Academic Team.
Â
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team and in at least their second year at their school.
