Women's Basketball Adds Transfer Forward Emma Trawally Porta

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's basketball team and Head Coach Molly Goodenbour have announced the signing of Emma Trawally Porta of Tiana, Spain, for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

"Emma is an amazing person and will add tremendous value to our team and program," Goodenbour said. "Her experience, maturity, and intelligence make her an exceptional candidate to add to our roster for next season. We are very excited for her to join us."

Trawally Porta, a transfer forward from Detroit Mercy, comes to the Hilltop after spending three seasons with the Titans, where she averaged 7.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and one assist per game. Earning the start in all 33 games during the 2023-24 season, Trawally Porta ranked second on the team in scoring, averaging 9.7 points per game while leading the Titans in rebounding at 7.5.

Reaching double figures 19 times throughout her breakout season in 2023-24, Trawally Porta scored a career-high 23 points on 70 percent (seven-for-10) shooting in a 67-55 win over Northern Kentucky. Along with her scoring, she added 14 rebounds in the victory over the Vikings en route to finishing the season with a career-best six double-doubles.

A staple on the defensive side of the ball, she ranked first on the team and second in the Horizon League in blocks (56) and blocks per game (1.7).

Before her time at Detroit Mercy, Trawally Porta played 10 seasons of club basketball, appearing for Femeni Maresme and Unio Esportiva Mataro, participating in five Catalonian Championships and four Spanish championships.

In 2020-21, while playing with UE Mataro Femeni Maresme of the Spanish Second Division, Trawally Porta averaged 2.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game on 56 percent shooting. Her best outing that season came as a 17-point, six-rebound, and two-block performance.
