SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Highlighted by twelve home matches against some of the nation's top programs, the University of San Francisco women's soccer program officially announced their schedule for the upcoming 2024 season on Monday.

"Once again we are excited for the start of the season. We have a very challenging schedule in the nonconference," said
Jim Millinder. "Our conference schedule is always tough but with the addition of Washington state and Oregon state it looks like it is going to be a very interesting. The team is looking forward to it."

Millinder enters his fourteenth season at the helm of the green and gold after finishing 6-9-3 (3-4-1 WCC) in 2023. Overall, San Francisco will return 19 letterwinners from last year's team in addition to bringing in ten newcomers.

The 2024 schedule features 19 matches - one exhibition, twelve home matches and six road matches.

Beginning locally, the Dons will unofficially begin their campaign on Aug. 9 with a road exhibition at UC Davis. Shortly thereafter, USF will open the regular season at home against a perennial powerhouse when they welcome Stanford to the Hilltop on Aug. 15.

Following its matchup with the Cardinal, San Francisco will host three more home games in the month of August - Aug. 18 vs. UC San Diego, Aug. 22 vs. Northeastern and Aug. 25 vs. California. Closing out the month, USF will play their first road match of the year on Aug. 29 at UC Irvine.

Back home after the trip to Irvine, the green and gold will open a three match homestand, beginning with a battle against USC on Sept. 5. Next, San Francisco will square off against LSU on Sept. 12 and San Jose State on Sept. 19, both which will be at Negoesco Stadium.

Making another quick trip down south, USF will head to San Diego for a showdown with the Toreros on Sept. 25 before hosting two more home matches against Santa Clara on Sept. 28 and Portland on Oct. 2.

New to the West Coast Conference this year, the Dons will make their first trip to Corvallis on Oct. 9 as San Francisco and Oregon State will square off for the first time in conference play. After their matchup against the Beavers, USF will return to the Bay Area for a road match at Saint Mary's on Oct. 19.

Wrapping up the month of October and moving into November, the green and gold are set to host Gonzaga on Oct. 23, Pacific on Oct. 26 and new WCC member Washington State on Nov. 2.

Rounding out the regular season, San Francisco will travel to Southern California once again for road matches at LMU on Nov. 6 and Pepperdine on Nov. 9.
