SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference officially announced the conference schedules for the eleven participating institutions on Tuesday morning.
"We're excited to see our WCC schedule for the 2024-2025 season," said head coach Chris Gerlufsen. "Our conference slate will be incredibly competitive once again as we look to build upon last season's 23-win campaign and a postseason berth in the NIT. With the caliber of players and coaches in the WCC, there are no off nights and our team is looking forward to the challenge ahead."
Beginning just a few days before the new year, San Francisco will begin their 18-game conference slate on Dec. 28 when they host LMU at home on the Hilltop. Notably, the Dons will wrap up WCC action with a battle against perennial powerhouse Gonzaga on Mar. 1.
After joining the conference as affiliate members this past December, USF will square off against Oregon State and Washington State as WCC opponents for the first time this season. For the green and gold, San Francisco will host the Beavers on Saturday, Jan. 18 before making the trip north to Corvallis on Feb. 27. Additionally, the Dons will battle the Cougars in Pullman on Saturday, Jan. 4 before welcoming WSU to War Memorial at the Sobrato Center on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Hungry to build off a successful 2023-24 campaign, San Francisco will look to finish in the top three of the WCC for just the second time since 2013-14 after finishing third in the final league standings last season. Within the WCC, USF tallied eleven wins in conference play in 2023-24, which tied for the program's second-most since 1981-82. Overall, San Francisco's 22 wins tied for the sixth-most regular season wins in the program's 97-year history.
In Las Vegas, the Dons reached the semifinal round of the WCC Tournament for the third straight year. With a win over Portland in the quarterfinals, USF won their opening round game in the WCC Tournament for the fourth straight season.
Tip off times and television partners for the 2024-25 season will be announced at a later date. The full 2024-25 San Francisco men's basketball conference schedule can be viewed here.
