DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco is coming off its first defeat of the season, falling at Boise State, 83-68, last Sunday, Nov. 9, at ExtraMile Arena. Paula Tirado led the Dons offensively, knocking down all three of her three-point attempts to finish with a career-high 13 points.
- Noelia Mouriño added a near double-double for the green and gold, with 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Shooting 50 percent (three-for-six) from the field throughout the contest, Mouriño has connected on seven of her first 10 shots in the opening two games of the season to lead the program with a .700 field-goal percentage.
- The Dons forced 24 Bronco turnovers, turning those takeaways into 19 points on the offensive end of the floor. Michelle Ugwah's two steals led the way for the green and gold.
- Candy Edokpaigbe matched a career-best with three blocks, increasing her season total to five through two games. She is currently tied with Portland's Julia Dalan for the most in the West Coast Conference.
- Bench play has continued to help guide the Dons in the first two games of the season, combining for 31.1 percent of the team's total points and in the loss at Boise State, Tirado (13), Ugwah (seven), Nataša Taušová (six), Sophia Priestley (two), and Amy Pateman (one), combined for 29 bench points.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES:
- Seton Hall enters Friday's contest with a 1-0 record, defeating Saint Peter's 88-39 in the 2025-26 season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
- Jordana Codio erupted for a career-high 20 points to lead Seton Hall to an 88-39 victory in the season-opener against Saint Peter's. In just 16 minutes played, Codio shot 53.8 percent (seven-for-13) from the field and knocked down two of her five three-point attempts. Following her career-setting performance, she was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Nov. 10.
- Freshman guard Zahara Bishop impressed in the season-opener, scoring an efficient 15 points on six-of-eight shooting from the field. She also connected on two of her three attempts from the three-point line in under 14 minutes of action.
- Savannah Catalon and Jada Eads were unanimous selections to the 2025-26 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Both players averaged more than 13 points per game last year.
- As a team, Seton Hall was picked to finish third in the 11-team BIG EAST Conference according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Pirates were also the only team, other than Connecticut, to receive a first-place vote. UConn was picked first, followed by Marquette.
SERIES HISTORY:
- San Francisco and Seton Hall have faced off three times in program history, with the Pirates holding a 2-1 advantage.
- Friday's matchup marks the first time the two programs have competed in back-to-back seasons in program history, with the Pirates prevailing on December 2, 2024, in a narrow 59-53 win at Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, N.J.
