LONG BEACH, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's basketball team (2-2) competes in its second road contest of the season when it travels to take on Long Beach State (0-4) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Walter Pyramid.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco enters Thursday's game following a convincing 80-69 victory over UC San Diego on Sunday, Nov. 16, at home.
- Four players scored in double figures for the Dons as Candy Edokpaigbe led the way with an impressive 24-point, 10-rebound double-double, her third double-double of her career. Through the first four games this season, Edokpaigbe ranks first on the team and tied for third in the WCC in scoring at 17.3 points per game.
- Noelia Mouriño also contributed to the Dons' 11-point victory, with career-highs in both points (16) and rebounds (eight). Aina Cargol and Mara Neira added 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Cargol recorded six rebounds and six assists.
- San Francisco outrebounded UC San Diego, 50-30, the second 50+ team rebound game this season for the green and gold. Six players recorded at least five rebounds throughout the contest as Edokpaigbe led with a season-high 10. Megahn McIntyre (eight), Mouriño (eight), Neira (six), Cargol (six), and Nataša Taušová (five) also assisted on the glass.
- The defensive effort from the green and gold held UC San Diego to only 37.9 percent shooting from the field, including 27.3 percent from beyond the three-point line.
SCOUTING THE BEACH:
- Long Beach State enters Thursday's contest with a 0-4 record, dropping nonconference games against Wyoming, Colorado State, California Baptist, and Sacramento State.
- Throughout the four losses, the Beach have been outscored by nearly 100 points (285-187) and are averaging 46.8 points per game. As of November 18, Long Beach State is one of 33 Division I programs without a win, with 22 teams having four losses or more.
- In four games so far this season, JaQuoia Jones-Brown leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.5 points per game. Jones-Brown delivered two standout performances last week, beginning with a then-career-high 19 points against California Baptist on Wednesday, Nov. 12. She surpassed that mark only days later with a dominant 29-point performance in a tightly contested 57-54 contest against Sacramento State on Saturday, Nov. 15. Her two career-setting outings earned her Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
- As of November 18, Long Beach State ranks 338th out of 359 qualifying programs in the nation in turnover margin at -6.50. The Beach have committed 75 turnovers in four games, averaging 18.8 per game, ranking second in the Big West behind CSU Bakersfield (86).
SERIES HISTORY:
- Thursday's matchup is the 15th all-time meeting between San Francisco and Long Beach State, with the Beach leading the series, 8-6.
- The last time the two programs faced off was on December 19, 2023, when Long Beach State earned a narrow 81-79 victory at Walter Pyramid. Trailing 50-33 at halftime, the Dons outscored the Beach 46-31 in the second half, but fell just short despite tying the game at 77 late in the fourth quarter.
