SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco volleyball team landed two West Coast Conference All-Conference awards, announced by the league Monday afternoon, as
Maeve Bailey and
Astrid Puig earned Honorable Mention selections.
"These players played an important role for us this season," Head Coach
Diogo Silva said. "Astrid is one of the best right-side blockers in the conference and has improved significantly over the years, and Maeve has shown amazing athleticism in her swinging and blocking."
Puig served as San Francisco's primary offensive weapon throughout the 2025 season, leading the program in kills (251) and points (296.0). Earning a start in 25 of the 28 matches, Puig reached double-digit kills 12 times, while totaling a season-best 22 in the five-set victory over Portland State on September 5. In the Dons' final five contests, she helped guide the program to a 4-1 record with 37 kills and a .233 hitting percentage in wins over Saint Mary's, LMU, Pacific, and Seattle U.
In her first season on the Hilltop, Bailey appeared in 23 matches, earning the start in 21 at the middle blocker position. She finished the regular season with 150 kills, fourth most on the team, while leading the team and ranking fifth in the WCC with a .349 hitting percentage. Defensively, Bailey registered 65 total blocks, including 14 solo blocks, and 0.84 per set, to pace the Dons.
Following San Francisco's dominating 3-1 victory over Pacific on November 22, Bailey earned her lone WCC Offensive Player of the Week honor with 11 kills, 12.5 points, and an efficient .714 hitting percentage.
