Mission Selected as Individual Qualifier for NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the third time in her illustrious career, San Francisco's Riana Mission has been selected as an individual qualifier for the Norman Regional for the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship.

"I am incredibly proud of all that Riana has accomplished in her four years," Head Coach Sara Doell said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to guide her through another NCAA regional in a quest toward the National Championship. As we reach the end of her college career, I can see what a lasting impact she will leave behind. Her legacy will be felt for years to come."

Mission, returning to the national stage for the second consecutive year and third time overall, last competed in the Cle Elum Regional following her successful junior season in 2024. Finishing at nine-over par at the end of the three-day event, Mission remained consistent throughout the final round, rising 12 spots on the player leaderboard to conclude the tournament with a one-over-par 73. Her final placement of a tie for 24th place marked her best-ever finish in an NCAA Regional as she posted a tie for 47th at Stanford in 2022.

Coming off her fourth straight West Coast Conference All-Conference Team selection, Mission posted five top-10 finishes throughout the 2024-25 season, leading the program with two individual titles, earning back-to-back first-place finishes at The Leadership and Golf Invitational and The Molly to begin the fall season. She also shot under par four times, highlighted by a 10-under-par performance at The Clash of Boulder Creek. Shooting under 70 a team-best seven times, she registered a season-low 67 in the second round of the Silverado Showcase in the final tournament of the regular season.

Mission entered postseason play last week at the West Coast Conference Championship, finishing tied for fifth place with a three-over-par 219. She totaled 10 birdies throughout the three-day event, tied for fourth most in the field, and recorded the lone eagle during her one-under-par 71 first round.

She was also invited to participate in the Augusta National Women's Amateur at the historic Augusta National Golf Club in early April, becoming the first golfer in program history to compete in the prestigious event.

Mission enters the tournament ranked 73rd out of 1,752 Division I-qualified women's golfers nationwide in the Clippd NCAA Individual Rankings.
