Women's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Nonconference Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's basketball team and Head Coach Molly Goodenbour have officially announced the nonconference schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

The nonconference schedule features 11 games, highlighted by six contests on the Hilltop at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. Along with its high-level contests at home, the program will also compete at Chase Center for the sixth time in seven years, taking on Sacramento State on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Five of the first seven games to begin the 2025-26 campaign will be played at home as San Francisco hosts UNC Greensboro in the season opener, facing off against the Spartans for the first time in program history, on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The green and gold will also host Seton Hall (Friday, Nov. 14), UC San Diego (Sunday, Nov. 16), Lehigh (Wednesday, Nov. 25), and CSU Monterey Bay (Sunday, Nov. 30) in the first month of the season.

Road contests in November feature trips to Boise State on Sunday, Nov. 9, and Long Beach State on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

San Francisco hits the road at the start of December, when it competes in the ASU Classic, hosted by Arizona State, on Friday, Dec. 5 - Saturday, Dec. 6 at Desert Financial Arena. The Dons begin the tournament with a neutral-site contest against Nevada and finish with a matchup against Arizona State, facing off against the Sun Devils for the third straight year.

The slate concludes in the Bay when the team hosts Colorado State at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center on Saturday, Dec. 13, before taking on Sacramento State in the annual USF Legacy Game, a doubleheader with the men's program at Chase Center, on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

San Francisco enters the new season after finishing 2024-25 with a 15-16 overall record and placed fifth in the West Coast Conference (WCC) standings at 11-9. The program's 11 league victories mark the first time the Dons have secured at least 11 wins during conference play since the 2016-17 season. Along with its regular-season success, accentuated by a sweep of Gonzaga, San Francisco secured its first win in the conference tournament since 2022, defeating LMU, 75-66, at Orleans Arena.

Notable returners from last season's roster include Sol Castro and Paula Tirado, while the program added six talented transfers, including Olivia Williams (UC Irvine), Mara Neira (Presbyterian/Appalachian State), Meghan McIntyre (Southern Oregon), Nevaeh Ferrara Horne (North Dakota), Michelle Ugwah (Morehead State), and Candy Edokpaigbe (Seattle U). Noelia Mourñio, Aina Cargol, Amy Pateman, Nataša Taušová, and Sophia Priestley join the team on the Hilltop as freshmen.
