LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Concluding its Southern California road trip, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team (9-5, 2-1) travels to take on LMU (8-6, 2-1) at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, in a West Coast Conference contest at Gersten Pavilion.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco enters Sunday's contest on a two-game winning streak following a narrow 59-55 victory at San Diego last Friday.
- Candy Edokpaigbe led the Dons with a team-high 17 points while adding six rebounds and three blocks. Aina Cargol was also active on the offensive end of the floor, totaling 12 points and six assists.
- Noelia Mouriño nearly recorded a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. She totaled all of her points in the second half and shot 66.7 percent (four-for-six) from the field in 27 minutes. Nataša Taušová scored the first five points of the contest and finished the game with nine points and a career-best six rebounds.
- Following her 17-point performance, Edokpaigbe ranks third in the WCC in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game. She also ranks third in field goal percentage at .491, only trailing Gonzaga's Lauren Whittaker (.564) and LMU's Maya Hernandez (.492).
- Cargol leads all freshmen in assists per game at 4.1 as she ranks fifth overall in the conference. She has totaled four or more assists in a game seven times, including back-to-back games with six.
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- LMU earned an impressive 92-85 victory over Santa Clara last Friday, as the Lions handed the Broncos their first conference loss of the season. Maya Hernandez recorded a game-high 25 points while Jess Lawson added 21 to propel the Lions to their first WCC home win of the season.
- Through 14 games, Jess Lawson leads the team in scoring at 14.8 per game and rebounding at 7.9 per game. Following a slow start to the season, Lawson has totaled double-digit scoring performances in 10 of the last 11 games, while surpassing 20+ points four times.
- Hernandez ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per game, while connecting on 49.2 percent (87-of-177) of her attempts from the floor.
- With Jess Lawson and Maya Hernandez leading the team in multiple statistical categories, newcomers Andjela Matic and Ivana Krajina have helped guide the program this season. Earning the start in all 14 games, Matic is the Lions' best perimeter shooter, knocking down 35.8 percent of her attempts from the three-point line. Averaging 5.8 points per game, Krajina has also been a solid shooter from long range, connecting on 13 of her 38 attempts.
SERIES HISTORY:
- San Francisco and LMU face off for the 94th time when the Dons travel to Los Angeles to conclude the first road trip of the conference slate. The Dons lead the all-time series 52-41 and have won eight of the last 10 meetings.
- The programs split the two regular-season games during the 2024-25 season, with the Dons earning a dominating 85-73 victory at Gersten Pavilion on December 28, 2024. The green and gold have defeated LMU five straight times on the road, dating back to the 2020-21 campaign.
- The last time San Francisco and LMU competed was in the third round of the West Coast Conference Championship, when the Dons held on for a 75-66 win at Orleans Arena on March 8, 2025.
