  • Answering back, the Dons netted 11 straight points in under four minutes, capped off by a Tyrone Riley IV three-pointer, to take a 17-14 lead and force the Zags to call a timeout with 8:34 left in the half.
  • Gonzaga was quick to regain the advantage as three baskets by Emmanuel Innocenti helped put GU back up by eight, 29-21, with four minutes remaining in the period.
  • Ending the first half, five quick points from Davis Fogle helped the Bulldogs add a bit more cushion to their advantage as USF went back into the locker room trailing 41-29.
  • Beginning the second half, GU scored the first two field goals of the period, but it was countered shortly by buckets from Riley IV and Mookie Cook to bring the deficit to 10, 48-38, with 16:34 remaining in regulation.
  • Putting together another run, the Zags scored the next eight points, including back-to-back baskets from Adam Miller, to give Gonzaga its largest lead of the night, 56-38, with 14 minutes to play.
  • Controlling the rest of the contest, the Bulldogs ultimately finished with seven more second-half field goals than the Dons, emerging victorious in an 80-59 contest.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
  • Returning from a two-game absence, Riley IV finished with a team-high 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting, to go along with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 37 minutes of action.
  • Contributing off the bench, Cook tied a career-high seven made free throws en route to a 12-point night, marking his highest scoring game of conference play.
