San Francisco Welcomes Forward Dashel Wiley

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Head coach Chris Gerlufsen and the University of San Francisco (USF) men's basketball team announced today the signing of forward Dashel Wiley (Las Vegas, Nev.).
"Our staff is excited to welcome Dashel to the University of San Francisco," said Gerlufsen. "He is a high-character young man with a bright future here at USF. We look forward to watching his career unfold here on the Hilltop!"
Wiley comes to USF as one of the top high school prospects from Nevada, emerging as a dynamic forward at Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas. He was named among Nevada's top 2026 prospects by Prep Hoops.
During his senior season, Wiley averaged 22.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game on 62.0 percent shooting from the field in 27 games. Overall, he led Faith Lutheran in points, rebounds, and field goal percentage, ranking inside the state's top ten in several statistical categories. For these efforts, Wiley was a First Team 4A Desert League selection and a Second Team Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada boys' basketball selection.
As a junior, he averaged 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds on 58.0 percent shooting from the floor.
Wiley was also a multi-sport athlete while at Faith Lutheran, playing on the football team for the Crusaders.
