SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of San Francisco (1-0-1) women's soccer team and Sacramento State (2-0-1) played a fairly even match on Thursday night as the Dons and Hornets finished in a 1-1 draw at Negoesco Stadium.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Sacramento State got the scoring started early when Jaety Mandaquit found the back of the net in the fifth minute, assisted by Lexi Schroeder.
The Dons evened the game on a goal from Olivia Lukrofka, her first goal of the season, in the 19th minute, following two crafty assists from Bella Bonnett and Sydni Yoshida inside the box.
Yoshida and Hannah Burns fired shots for USF in the minutes to follow, but the teams remained knotted at 1-1 at halftime.
In the second half, San Francisco would go on to outshoot the Hornets 5-3, but could not find the go-ahead strike. Burns notched five of her six shots in the second period, including a shot on frame at 88:33.
The green and gold remained steady on defense in the closing minutes as the score held and the two teams finished in a 1-1 draw.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

Burns continues to come out of the gates with vengeance this fall as she tallied another new career-high in shots (6) for a second consecutive match.
Starting her second straight match for USF, Grace Wilson totaled three saves for the Dons.
Shanti Ng made her season debut for San Francisco, playing 42 minutes on the night.
