2015-16 (Senior)
Fall 2015: Ended the fall season with an 8-9 overall record, going 2-5 in singles and 6-4 in doubles...Won the doubles tournament at the ITA Northwest Regional, pairing up with Vasco Valverde to win five straight matches and clinch a berth at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, the second year straight Skajaa has competed at the NIIC...Won his first singles match of the fall at the Battle in the Bay Classic against Corey Pang of Cal Poly, winning 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-1...Beat Wendell Watanabe of Washington 0-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the opening round of singles play at the ITA Northwest Regional...Paired up with Valverde to go 5-3 in doubles on the season, concluding the fall campaign with a loss to a pair from Columbia in the NIIC.
Spring 2016: The senior was named All-West Coast Conference Second Team in singles action...Saw his action as the Dons leader on court No. 1...Compiled a 7-14 record in singles actions during the spring...Defeated Matt Cowley of Utah in a marathon 6-7(5), 7-5, 10-6 victory...Won four straight singles matches during a stretch in March...Claimed a 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 win over Cristobal Rivera of LMU...Paired with Vasco Valverde to form a Dons duo that was ranked 58th in the nation in doubles...The duo was also listed on the All-WCC Second Team...Recorded a 10-7 record on court No. 1...Ended the season a four match win streak over opponents from- BYU, Santa Clara, LMU and Pepperdine...Named Team MVP in Annual Hilltop Awards...Also named to Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s All-Academic team.
2014-15 (Junior)
Fall 2014: SINGLES: Saw action in seven matches for the Dons… won two consecutive matches against Chas Okamoto of UH and Denys Pume of UNLV…DOUBLES: Paired with Bernardo Saraiva…Nationally ranked No. 48 by the ITA as well as regionally ranked No. 1…Earned a winning record of 10-4...Took home the 2014 USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championship.Â
Spring 2015: SINGLES: Earned a winning streak high of four matches against opponents from Saint Mary’s, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine and Utah State…Ended the slate with a two set win against Reid deLaubenfels of Portland, 6-1, 6-4...DOUBLES: With Skajaa, started the season with a five match winning streak against duos of Sonoma State, Cal Poly, UC Davis, Hawaii and No. 42 at the time Bayane and Melton of California, 6-2…Completed the slate with a three set win against pairs of Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine...Awarded Honorable Mention for All-WCC singles and first Team All-WCC Doubles for the second-straight year with partner Bernardo Saraiva…At the No. 2 postion, finished with a 12-12 overall and a 4-1 mark in WCC competition...Went 22-9 with Saraiva and 5-3 in WCC competition as the top doubles team.
2013-14 (Sophomore)
Fall 2013: SINGLES: Was victorious against Fresno State’s Ethan Lopes, 7-6(4), 6-2, on Oct. 28 to advance to the round of 32 at the 2013 USTA/ ITA Division I Men’s Northwest Regional Championship...DOUBLES: Ended the fall with a dominating doubles record of 10-3 with partner Bernardo Saraiva...Had major win at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships with partner Bernardo Saraiva against #10 Texas’ David Holiner and Nick Naumann, 8-3.Â
Spring 2014: SINGLES: Won three straight games against Cal Poly, #75 Portland and St. Mary’s...DOUBLES: Skajaa and Saraiva concluded the doubles season winning seven of their last eight matches and a 14-8 dual match record...Concluded his sophomore year receiving Second Team All-WCC Doubles with partner Bernardo Saraiva...Earned an overall singles record of 12-22 and doubles record of 26-12.
2012-13 (Freshman)
Finished the season with a 19-12 overall singles record, 17-4 in dual match action, and a 20-7 doubles record with partner Bernardo Saraiva...SINGLES:Â Picked up first win of collegiate career in first outing on the court, a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Hall Fess at the Napa Valley Collegiate Invitational Sept. 28...Finished the dual match season with a 5-2 record from the No. 3 position, a 2-2 mark at No. 4 singles and 6-4 from the No. 5 spot...Started the dual match season winning 10 straight, including a 6-3, 4-6, (10-3) victory over No. 121 Jonny Wan of USC...DOUBLES:Â Played entire spring season with partner Nils Skajaa, finishing 20-7 overall... the duo posted an 11-2 mark from the No. 1 doubles position, and a 6-2 mark from the No. 2 spot ... Skajaa and Saraiva were named to the All-WCC first team for their efforts.
