2015 ALL-WCC FRESHMAN TEAM
2016 Beach: Competed in six matches for the Dons, all from the No. 5 position, going 2-4 with three partners ... picked up two wins with partner Kim Gutierrez, defeating pairs from Portland and San Jose State on March 5.
2015 Indoor: Named to the All-WCC Freshman Team … finished in the top 10 in the WCC in hitting percentage (.307, 5th) and blocks per set (1.11, 7th) … led the team with 25 service aces on the season … finished with seven double-digit kill performances on the year … notched a season-high 14 kills on two occasions – against Gonzaga on Oct. 1, and at Portland on Oct. 29 … finished with eight blocks in back-to-back matches versus Denver on Aug. 29 and against Southern Utah on Sept. 4 … named to the San Francisco Invitational All-Tournament team with 19 total blocks, including six solo stuffs, in her first weekend of collegiate action … earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Utah State Gossner Invitational with 27 kills on .434 hitting and 15 total blocks … finished the weekend at the San Francisco Challenge with 26 kills on .415 hitting and three aces to nab a spot on the all-tournament team … played in all 108 sets for the Dons.
Prep/Club Career: State finalist with Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep as a senior, as the Fighting Irish won their first West Coast Athletic League title in school history … named All-WCAL first team as a junior and senior … WCAL second team selection as a sophomore … named to the honorable mention WCAL squad as a freshman … played club volleyball for Slainte, coached by Nga Tran and Margi Beima … also competed for City Beach Volleyball Club and Red Rock Volleyball Club.
Personal: Daughter of Timothy and Margaret Murtagh … sister, Mackenzie, played volleyball for the Dons and graduated from USF in 2014 … contemplating a career as a San Francisco small business owner after college … born July 13, 1996, in San Francisco.
