2012 TRACK & FIELD: Ran a personal best in the 1500m at the Woody Wilson Invitational (4/21).

2011 CROSS COUNTRY: Ran two race for the Dons… was 74th in 28:01 in the Open division at the Bronco Invitational.


PREP CAREER: Won the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 4A District 15 Championship in the 800m in 2011 and 2010… second in the FHSAA Class 4A District 15 Championship in the 800m in 2009… personal best in 800m was 1:55.96… ran 4:33 in the 1600m… was 20th at FHSAA Class 4A Cross Country Championships as a junior and 48th as a senior.

PERSONAL: Raul Arturo Montoya… son of Maria Martinez and Raul Montoya… born in February of 1992… chose USF because of the educational standards and the beauty of the city… goal for cross country is to run in the low 26’s and to run a 4:15 in the 1500m on the track… interests include learning more about the city of San Francisco… major is Biology.
