During Ferrari's time on the Hilltop, the Dons have amassed a record of 162-103 (.611) and earned multiple postseason berths, including appearances in the NCAA Tournament and NIT. He has been instrumental in the development of several All-WCC First Team selections, including Jamaree Bouyea, who became USF's first NBA player since 1995.
In his current position, Ferrari oversees the program's day-to-day operations for head coach Chris Gerlufsen while assisting with recruiting, supporting fundraising initiatives, and contributing to scouting reports. He also contributes to game-planning and overall program management.
Prior to returning to the Hilltop, Ferrari spent the 2023-24 season at the University of Florida under head coach Todd Golden. During Ferrari's first stint on the Hilltop, he helped guide the 2021-22 USF Dons to a 24-8 regular-season record and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1997-98. He began his career at San Francisco in the summer of 2017, originally joining the staff as Video Coordinator under head coach Kyle Smith. Ferrari was later elevated to Assistant to the Head Coach under Todd Golden.
Ferrari has been recognized by Silver Waves Media as one of its "50 Next Up – Men's Support Staff" selections for four consecutive seasons. Prior to joining the college basketball ranks, he spent three years coaching AAU basketball on the Bay Area Peninsula.
