Raised in San Diego in a competitive family, Rachel had developed an early love for athletic and a desire to help others. A passion for athletic training was developed late into her bachelorette degree after her first day in the athletic training room at CSU, San Marcos. Knowing this profession was where she wanted to continue her education she pursued her degree and graduated from the Entry-Level Master’s Program at the University of Hawaii. The Hawaiian culture and approach to student athlete care is where she developed a strong base of skill sets which would help mold her future path.

Early into her career, Rachel worked as an Intern Athletic Trainer at Saint Mary’s College along with working in a local Bay Area Physical Therapy clinic. Continuing her professional career she entered Holy Names University in Oakland where she was quickly promoted to Head Athletic Trainer and served as such for the last four years.

Currently, Rachel’s passion for NCAA Div I programs has brought her to the Hilltop where she will work alongside the Women’s Soccer and Men’s Tennis programs. She hopes to bring a dynamic clinical skill set and a leadership mentality to the USF Sports Medicine Team.
