WCC- ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15)
2014-15 – SENIOR: Completed her final season with an overall record of 17-17 at the No. 4 position…received her third-straight WCC-All Academic honors. FALL: Won the white singles division at the Cal Invitational in September. SINGLES: Ended the season with a winning record of 8-5… obtained a four match winning streak against players from UC Davis, Nevada, BYU and San Jose. DOUBLES: Worked with Ines Teixeira and Genevieve McCloskey to play in a combined eight matches. SPRING: SINGLES: Picked up nine wins for USF… one of her best matches was against, No. 41 at the time, Saint Mary’s Catherine Leduc 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. DOUBLES: Worked closely with Sofia Holmberg to earn a 4-3 WCC record… finished the season with wins against Gonzaga and Portland’s No. 3 doubles at the WCC tournament.
2013-14 - JUNIOR: Finished her junior year with an overall singles record of 14-17 and doubles record of 13-14 … netted second-straight WCC-All Academic honors … made the list of 10 honorees as one of five women’s tennis players to earn multiple selections to the All-Academic Team. FALL: Ended her fall season with a singles record of 7-5. SINGLES: Advanced to the quarterfinals of the Cal NIKE Fall Invitational on Sept 27, defeating players of UC Davis. DOUBLES: Picked up a win with partner Brooke Irish against #56 Santa Clara … had an overall doubles record of 2-3 for the fall. SPRING: SINGLES: Clenched three consecutive wins against Youngstown State, Southern Utah and Loyola Marymount … ended the season with a win against Gonzaga University. DOUBLES: Played most of her doubles season with partner Brooke Irish ending with a winning record of 9-7 … earned four straight wins against Nevada, #63 BYU, Youngstown State and Loyola Marymount.
2012-13 - SOPHOMORE: Finished with a 10-17 overall singles record and an 11-11 doubles dual match record with partner Yurie Hashiguchi SINGLES: Earned a 9-11 dual match record from the No. 3 singles position ... went on a three-match winning streak to close out sophomore campaign, beating Gonzaga's Samantha Polayes 6-2, 7-6, Portand's Sabine Fuchs 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, and Shani Blecher of San Diego 6-2, 7-5. DOUBLES: Played No. 2 doubles, going 11-11 in the spring ... won first four matches of the spring, beating opponents from Pacific, UTEP, San Jose State and UC Santa Barbara.
2011-12 - FRESHMAN: SINGLES: Played the five, four, three and two position and finished with a 2-11 record (one victory over a top 50 team) ... DOUBLES: Played the two and one position and finished with a 3-9 record (one victory over a top 50 team).
PREP/AMATUER CAREER: Started playing tennis at age 9… was ranked No. 1 under 16 and No. 8 under 18 in Serbia, winning numerous tournaments along the way…
PERSONAL: Born and raised in Serbia… describes herself as energetic and proactive, saying she can never be found in one place as she is always doing something… spends a lot of her time studying, practicing, singing and dancing… is very athletic and loves sports, especially tennis, track, swimming, skiing, rollerblading, biking, ice skating and volleyball… graduated from music school for voice and piano.
