Biography: Kurakazu played baseball for four years on the Hilltop from 1967-1970. He played for the freshman team in 1967 and was named to the All-League freshman team. He played on the varsity from 1968-1970 and then, after he graduated, coached baseball under Dante Benedette for two seasons. Member of Scabbard and Blade, and RCC secretary. Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.Â
Favorite USF Memories: "I was able to stay at USF as part of the staff and was an assistant coach under Dante Benedetti from 1972-1973."Â
Life After USF: Kurakazu was an Infield Coach for the USA women's national baseball team at the 2006 Women's Baseball World Cup and the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup.Â
