Domingo Casanas played soccer for the Dons for two seasons, and served as the Foghorn Business Manager in 1979.
At the fullbacks, Tony Igwe, Domingo Casanas and Javier Plasencia all return to share defensive duties. Igwe, like Anthony Gray, earned All-Far West honors while Casanas and Plasencia turned in solid performances in their limited action. Last but surely not least, is the rover of the Dons attack and defense, John Brooks. Brooks turned out to be th instrumental key to the USF title defense late in the year with his outstanding playoff performance. The 6' 2" sophomore was called on to defend key players throughout the tournament. His defense negated the star opponents of every USF opponent in that time frame and his breadaway goal against Clemson in the semi-final NCAA contest last December put the Dons in the championship game (TheFoghorn).
