USF ultimately finished 11-3 in conference play, good for second place, setting a school-record for conference victories. Along the way, USF knocked off three conference rivals which were ranked in the top-25 at the time of the match, including San Diego and Pepperdine, which were ranked 15th nationally. The Dons made their second-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, where they fell to ACC powerhouse Duke in five-games at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. USF finished the season with a 22-8 overall record and five Dons earned All-WCC honors.

In 2012, USF finished 16-13 overall and posted the program’s first-ever victories over long-time powers Pacific and California, a team the Dons defeated twice during the season.
