Young Dons Look to Blend Youth and Experience vs. Oaks
THIS WEEK: USF plays its lone exhibition game of the season when it hosts Menlo College Sunday, November 7 in a 2:00 PM tip-off at War Memorial Gym. The Dons square off against the Oaks in the "George O'Brien Exhibition Game", celebrating the memory of a legendary Don, who was an ardent supporter of USF Basketball. Menlo College is coming off an 84-78 setback at UC Davis on Wednesday.
A LOOK AT MENLO: Menlo fell 84-78 in exhibition action at UC Davis on Wednesday despite a game-high 24 points from senior guard Julian Harris. Seven players scored at least five points and junior guard Ryan Dung added 11 points off the bench, while junior center Tim Tatum added eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds off the Oaks' pine.
QUOTING WALTERS: "We have a lot of work ahead of us. I love our guy's attitudes. They've been working very hard. I think they're trying to play the right way and figuring out what it takes to be successful at this level. Rashad (Green) and Angelo (Caloiaro) have been very good and a lot of other guys have been more up and down. This game will be a really good indication for us. It will be really interesting to see how our guys come out with the lights on."
