Sophomore Katrina Hegge 12th at 6-Over
(Aurora, OR) – USF women's golf opened play Monday
in the 2010 Rose City Collegiate and after 36 holes sit sixth
overall after shooting 616 as a team. The Dons enter
Tuesday's final round six shots out of fifth place while
competing on the par-72 course playing at 6,080 yards.
Katrina Hegge is the top Don on the leader board and enters the
final 18 holes in a share of 12th place at 6-over 150 (77, 73).
Senior Tinna Johannsdottir sits in a logjam in 21st place at 153
(72, 81), while senior Diana Hong is in a share of 24th place at
154 (78, 76). Johannsdottir was the only USF player to card a round
at par or better, firing an even-par 72 in round one.
Oregon State (302, 296) and North Texas (295, 303) share the
36-hole lead at 598. Tournament co-host Portland State sits third
at 599 (299, 300), three shots in front of Hawaii in fourth at 602
(307, 295). Northern Arizona sits in fifth place at 610 (309, 301)
and have a six stroke cushion on the Dons in sixth place at 616
(303, 313).
Whitney French owns the top spot on the leader board, carding a
1-under 143 (71, 72) for the Beavers.
San Francisco looks to make a move in Tuesday's final round.
