(Tulsa, Okla.) - Thai Tu and Mark DeCastro of the University of San Francisco men's tennis team enjoyed a highly successful day, Tuesday, at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Tu earned a victory in his consolation singles match, while the duo combined to earn a spot in the third round of the Doubles round.
Tu breezed through his consolation singles match, defeating Hunter Callahan of Ohio State in straight sets. The junior defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-4. Tu will continue singles play Wednesday.
In doubles action, the Dons earned an early victory in the first round by virtue of walkover against a Michigan State opponent. Tu and DeCastro advanced to face K. Black and J.Estenssoro of Wichita State. San Francisco prevailed 8-4, advancing to the third round Wednesday. USF is slated to face an opponent from BYU in an early-season West Coast Conference showdown.
