USF HOSTS SAINT MARY'S SATURDAY: USF concludes its three-game West Coast Conference homestand Saturday, February 12 when league-leading No. 23 Saint Mary's invades War Memorial Gym. Tip-off against the Gaels is set for 7:30 PM in a game televised live on Comcast SportsNet California and aired on KNEW (910 AM). San Francisco remains in sole possession of second place in the WCC standings at 7-2 after a 61-47 win against San Diego on Thursday. With the win against the Toreros, USF improved to 10-2 on its home floor. Saint Mary's dispatched Bay Area rival Santa Clara 65-59, upping its league slate to 9-1.
THE LAST TIME... USF's 7-2 start to the West Coast Conference season is the best since going 7-2 in 1981. The Dons have won nine of their last 11 games and posted a 6-2 slate in January.
