Men's Cross Country Heads South for Bronco Invitational

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco men's cross country team and women's B-team will travel south to Sunnyvale for the Bronco Invitational at Baylands Park on Saturday, October 13. The men's 8k race starts at 10:30 a.m., while the women's open 5k race begins at 9:00 a.m.
This year's field includes Sacramento State, Stanford, Cal, New Mexico State, Colorado, UC Davis, Santa Clara, Long Beach, Idaho State and Fresno State.
In the past two years, the Don men's side has performed exceptionally well, finishing 7th overall last year and 4th in 2010, while the women's B-team won their second consecutive race at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational last year. Mary Sandri (18:24) and Sahar Bala (18:25) placed third and fourth, respectively, to lead the USF women.
Led by junior standout Jose Madera, USF is sending eight men to compete, including Eric Causey, Ganbileg Bor, Steven Garboden, Gustavo Mena, Jarrett Moore, Adam Smith and Charlie Johansen.
The mens' team is riding high, coming off an impressive fourth place finish at the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 29.
