Just the Facts, Ma'am
- San Francisco is riding a two-game winning streak after dominating San Jose State in Saturday's 92-64 home victory. The Dons posted two straight 90-plus point performances for the first time since the start of the 2000-01 season.
- Cal Poly's two-week break in between games was not kind to the Mustangs, who are fresh off a 73-56 defeat off the hands of San Diego State on Sunday. Cal Poly fell to 5-4 on the season, despite a career-high 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting off the bench by Nikol Allison after the lull in the action from Dec. 2-16.
In It to Win It
- USF's 6-4 start is the best opening to a season since the Jennifer Azzi era began in 2010-11. The last time the Dons were above the .500 mark 10 games into the season was 2007-08, when USF finished 14-16 overall and notched its last double-digit win tally on the year.
Know the Foe
- Cal Poly, two-time defending conference champions, have played the 59th toughest schedule in the nation, thus far. The Mustangs opened the season on the road against No. 15 Oklahoma State and Oregon State, earning its first win of the season against the Beavers. One of the team's other dropped decisions came against No. 8 California in mid-November.
- Cal Poly participates in the Big West Conference, as do five other USF foes this season. Thus far, the Dons have played to a 2-2 record against Hawaii, UC Davis, Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge. The team has yet to play Pacific (Dec. 29) to round out the six WCC vs. Big West contests on the 2012-13 schedule.
USF and Cal Poly—The Series
- The Dons and the Mustangs have met 18 times over the years, with USF maintaining a 12-6 all-time advantage. The Dons look to break a four-game slide against the Mustangs.

San Jose State Remix
- As a team, the Dons finished with some season highs against the Spartans, including assists (18), free throws (21) and free throw percentage (.808). Individually, Alicia Scafidi posted her first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
- Mel Khlok's 29 points and nine rebounds represent season-bests for the senior from Sacramento.
Tenacious D
- The Dons' fierce defense holds opponents to 34.4 percent shooting from the field and 27.4 percent from beyond the arc. This mark tops the West Coast Conference and ranks tied for 45th in the nation, and bests some formidable teams in the national Top 25 rankings.
- USF's opponent field goal percentage mark surpasses teams like No. 8 Louisville, No. 11 Penn State, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 14 UCLA and No. 17 Dayton, to name a few.
