Cody Doolin, Justin Raffington and Jay Wey Honored For Academic Excellence
(San Francisco) – Three USF men's basketball players were recognized for their academic achievement with selection to the 2012 West Coast Conference All-Academic Team as announced today by the league office. Sophomore guard Cody Doolin, sophomore center Justin Raffington and senior guard Jay Wey collected their first all-academic nod.

Doolin posted a 3.61 GPA in Finance and started every game for the Dons this season. This year, Doolin averages 8.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game and leads the WCC in assist/turnover ratio at 2.4.
Raffington posted a 3.50 GPA in Advertising and appeared in 26 games for the Dons this season, averaging 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per night. Wey turned in the top GPA on the list with a 3.73 in Business Administration. The South Bay product averaged 2.7 points and made a pair of starts for San Francisco this season.
USF led the conference with three all-academic selections. Doolin, Raffington and Wey are the first Dons on the list since Christian Hernandez in 2008-09.
ABOUT THE WCC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS: At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
