SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's tennis team posted an emphatic 7-0 victory over Northern Arizona Saturday afternoon at Golden Gate Park.
The Dons (6-3, 0-1 WCC) opened the day with two lopsided doubles wins over the Lumberjacks (6-7, 1-0 Big Sky) and took that momentum into singles play, with only a lone match requiring a third set.
“Today was good preparation as we look forward to tomorrow's match with Saint Mary's,” said USF coach
Hilary Somers.
The Dons face a quick turnaround as they return to Golden Gate Park tomorrow morning for an 11 a.m. showdown with the Saint Mary's Gaels (6-6, 2-0 WCC).
