SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's tennis team heads to the Pacific Northwest for West Coast Conference clashes with Portland (8-11, 1-5 WCC) and Gonzaga (9-9, 0-6 WCC) on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The Dons defeated both the Pilots and Bulldogs by scores of 6-1 last season at Golden Gate Park.

DONS BRIEFS
· USF is now 11-8 overall this season, marking a five-victory improvement over last year's 6-13 campaign.
· The Dons checked in at No. 67 in the April 2 edition of ITA's team rankings, representing the first time in program history that USF has graced the weekly publication.
· USF's 2-4 conference mark is good for a fifth-place tie in the West Coast Conference standings with BYU. San Diego's 5-3 WCC record with two matches remaining prevents the Dons from finishing any higher than fifth.
· The Dons have struggled against stiff competition this season, owning a 1-4 record against ranked opponents. USF has defeated No. 61 Loyola Marymount and lost to No. 56 Fresno State, No. 49 Saint Mary's, No. 24 Tulsa and No. 53 San Diego.

FANTASTIC FRESHMAN
· USF freshman Andrea Ka, Sofia Holmberg and Brooke Irish have accounted for 55.6 percent (35-of-63) of the Dons' singles points this season.
· Ka (14-5) and Holmberg (12-6) have racked up the highest singles win totals by any Dons this season from the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, respectively, and have also teamed up for an 11-8 record as USF's top doubles tandem.
