PORTLAND, Ore. – The University of San Francisco women's tennis team kicked off its road trip to the Pacific Northwest in fine fashion, defeating the Portland Pilots, 4-3, Friday afternoon at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center.

UP battled back to even things up at 2-2, but consecutive victories by
Marina Nikolic and
Brooke Irish capped USF's third West Coast Conference victory of the spring.
Andrea Ka picked up her team-leading 15
th win of the season in the No. 1 slot, beating Portland's Maja Mladenovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-0.
USF travels to take on Gonzaga on Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m. in the regular season finale before next week's WCC Championships.
