USF Set to Compete at San Jose Invitational

The Dons head to the San Jose State Hidden Duel to finish of their fall season. The entire USF women's tennis team will step foot in singles and doubles play. Action will take place ont the Spartan Courts at the San Jose State Campus

San Francisco will be competing against three other schools in the Duel. These schools include San José State, No. 56 Santa Clara and Nevada.

The weekend will operate in a "hidden dual" format, meaning one school will play another in singles, but will play a different school in doubles during the same day. This will result in each school playing the other three in both singles and doubles by the conclusion of the weekend.

Line-ups for USF are subject to change each day for the hidden dual format in which the Invitational is played in.

"I hope to rotate around my seven players over the three days to have them all play in matches," said head coach Hilary Somers. "I like this event as it culminates the fall in a team atmosphere and is more similar to the dual matches we play in the spring. It gets everyone thinking together as a team."

Friday's matches are the only ones determined at this point. They are as follows:
9:30 a.m.          San José State vs. Santa Clara      Singles
12:30 p.m.        San José State vs. Nevada            Doubles
12:30 p.m.        San Francisco vs. Santa Clara      Doubles
1:45 p.m.          San Francisco vs. Nevada             Singles

Saturday and Sunday will feature the same format and time slots, but matchups have yet to be relayed.
