SEATTLE, Wash. – The San Francisco women's track and cross country team continued its early-season indoor competition in record fashion at the Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor on Friday.

Asaundra Dalton sped to a time of 25.46 in the 200 meter dash, finishing in fourth in her section. She finished 18th overall out of the field of 67 competitors. The freshman from Oak Park, Mich., took over the USF record by one one-hundredth of a second in her first collegiate race.

"Asaundra had a solid college debut and she has a ton of room for improvement for the outdoor season," head coach Helen Lehman-Winters noted. "Overall, we had a successful evening at Dempsey and I'm really happy how our team competed in elite fields."

Two women competed in the 5,000 meters, in both the invite and open divisions. Bridget Dahlberg posted a time of 16:17.42 to take 16th in the invite division, in her first time around the track for the Dons in the 5,000 meter distance.

Maor Tiyouri, a senior from Kfar Saba, Israel, competed in the open division and found herself in the fastest heat of the day. She finished 12th in her section, and 12th overall out of 58 competitors, clocking in with a time of 16:43.00 for the Dons.

The Dons continue tomorrow at the Husky Classic.
