DAVIS, Calif. – Propelled by another record-best 4x100 meter relay, the San Francisco women's track and field team finished a solid day at the track at the Aggie Invitational Saturday.

The foursome of sprinters – Asaundra Dalton, Kamilah Davis, Lupe Medina and Eleni Fkiaras – posted a time of 48.58 seconds to top their previous best mark set last weekend. Dalton, Davis and Medina also participated in individual sprints, with each woman finishing in the top 10 in their respective events.

In the 1,500 meters, Alice Baker posted a third-place finish with a time of 4:43.46. The redshirt senior from Oakland, Calif., turned in the best time by a Don so far this season. Madeline Haupert was right behind, coming in with a new personal best of 4:44.23 to take fourth, and freshman Ashley Moffett finished the race in 4:47.36, also a new collegiate best.

Freshman Daryl Phill, who finished sixth in the 1,500 meters, took second in the 3,000 meters finishing in 10:51.96. Teammates Moffett and Sarah Pearson rounded out the first four finishers in the event as the Dons went 2-3-4 on the day.

USF finished fourth in the team standings, with 61 total points. Hosts UC Davis, Sacramento State and Nevada finished ahead of the Dons in the team tally.

"Coming off spring break we treated today as an opportunity to get some good work in and for the most part we accomplished that," head coach Helen Lehman-Winters notes. "Next up is the Mathis at SF State, which will be final weekend of racing before we roll into the month of April when the big meets start to happen."

Next, the Dons take to the track at the Johnny Mathis Invitational on the campus of San Francisco State. Events are slated to begin Saturday at 9 a.m.
