Four USF players -
Alison Lillie,
Emelie Lundstrom,
Clare Sorensen and
Ayaka Suzuki - were named Women's Collegiate Golf All-America Scholars for the 2013-14 season, as selected by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
The four USF student-athletes were among the 644 women's collegiate golfers recognized for this prestigious honor. To qualify as a WGCA Scholar, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the course of the season. USF was the only West Coast Conference institution with more than two players represented on the WGCA All-America Scholar Team.
Lundstrom, an advertising major who carries a 3.64 grade point average, is a two-time honoree, as is
Clare Sorensen, who was named to last year's team as a freshman at Seattle University. Sorensen carries a 4.0 grade point average as a finance major. Lillie carries a 4.0 grade point average as a business major while Suzuki, who majors in international business, earned a 3.8 grade point average in her first year on the Hilltop.
