Final Individual ResultsINDEPENDENCE, Minn. -- USF's men's golf team finished 13th at the Gopher Invitational which wrapped up on Monday at the Windsong Farms Golf Club outside of Minneapolis.
The Dons final round 309 (+25) coupled with rounds of 321 and 298 on Sunday left USF at 928 (+76) for the 54-hole event.
Baylor won the tournament in wire-to-wire fashion with a final score of 862 (+10) to earn a 16 stroke victory over second place California (878). Victor Wiggins of Charlotte strung together rounds of 68, 69 and 71 (208) to claim medalist honors with a four stroke victory over Gavin Green of New Mexico.
Jobim Carlos was USF's top finisher, tying for 17th with a 54-hole score of 221 (+8). The senior closed with a 75 on Monday after rounds of 74 and 72 to open the tournament.
Freshman
Jalen Griffin closed with a 74 on Monday to jump up the leaderboard into a tie for 49th place at 233 (+20).
Senior
Sebastian Crookall-Nixon carded his second straight 75 after an opening round 84 to tie for 57th at 234 (+21).
Freshman
Henry Chung shot an 85 on Monday and tied for 65th at 240 while fellow newcomer
Ashton Silk finished 74th after a final round 85.
USF will return to action next Monday at the Saint Mary's Invitational, which will be held at the Bayonet and Black Horse Courses in Seaside, Calif.
