Tulsa, Okla. –– On Wednesday, seniors Nils Skajaa and Vasco Valverde battled hard but lost 6-4, 6-4 in doubles play to Dovydas Sakinis and Brendan Tannenbaum of Dartmouth at the ITA All-American Qualifiers in Tulsa, Okla.

After advancing to the Round of 32 on Tuesday, Skajaa and Valverde had an opportunity to take the first set of today's match. The Dons duo went up 4-2 in the first set but Dartmouth came roaring back to win four games in a row to claim the first set. After evening the second set at four games apiece, the Dons couldn't quite finish off the rally as Dartmouth served out the match.

"Nils and Vasco both feel they let this match slip away from them but were very glad to represent the Dons this week amongst the nations best," said director of tennis operations Sean Dizon.

USF will return to the courts on Oct. 16 for an ITA Regional Tournament in Seattle, Wash.
