Final Team and Individual Results

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Sebastian Crookall-Nixon shot a final round 71 to tie for third place at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate held on the Outlaw Course at Desert Mountain.

USF placed eighth in the 12-team event after carding a final round 305 (+17) which left USF at 907 for the 54-hole event.

Oregon won the team event with a three-under score of 861, good for a 12-stroke victory over Michigan and Purdue, which tied for second at 873 (+9). Florida (874; +10) and Saint Mary's (885; +21) rounded out the top-five.

Oregon's Aaron Wise turned in his third consecutive 69 to take medalist honors with a nine-under score of 207. Wise was three strokes clear of a fast-charging Chris O'Neill of Michigan, who played himself into contention with a final round 66.

Crookall-Nixon turned in three under par rounds to earn a share of third place along with Thomas Lim of Oregon. It was the best finish in his career, following a pair of fourth place showings at the 2013 Triumph at Pauma Valley and last year's WCC Championships. The Englishman made birdies on holes 12, 14 and 17 for a backside 33 and a final round 71 in windy conditions on the Outlaw Course.

Redshirt freshman Mathias Wentjarvi tied for 45th at 233 (+17) following a final round 81, which included three double bogeys and one triple bogey.

After rounds of 79 and 82 on Friday, Jobim Carlos posted a 74 over his final 18 holes and finished tied for 51st at 235 (+19). Carlos was four over on his round before making a couple of late birdies on 16 and 18 to finish with a 74.

Kraig McLeod shot a final round 79 and was part of a large pack that tied for 51st place at 235 (-19). After a tough front nine that began with back-to-back double bogeys, McLeod settled to finish with 10 consecutive pars.

Freshman Henry Chung tied for 56th at 239 (+23) after shooting an 85 on Sunday.

USF will return to action on March 27 when the Dons join the field at The Goodwin hosted by Stanford.
