BERKELEY, Calif. -- Adrian Shocks highlighted the first day of the Brutus Hamilton Invitational for the Dons, finishing first in the men's triple jump on Friday.
Shocks finished the day with a jump of 13.88 meters.
Seam Gomes added to the Dons winning events on Friday. Gomes placed first in the 800 m, with a time of 1:54.32.
In the javelin, Robert Parker finished sixth with a throw of 58.46 m.
In the 1,500 m, freshman Mohamed Aziz placed 13th in 3:58.28, while teammate Omar Solis placed 28th in 4:05.58.Â
In the 5,000 m, Quentin Purtzer placed 22nd in 15:05.19, while Nick Hicks placed 23rd in 15:06.23.Â

On the second day of the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, Gomes posted his second best mark of the season in the 800 m, placing ninth in 1:54.12.
