MGOLF | Dons Finish 13th at Alister MacKenzie Invitational

FAIRFAX, Calif. – On the final day of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, the University of San Francisco men's golf team slugged it out to finish five-over with a team score of 857, to finish 13th at the par 71 Meadow Club.
Three Dons finished the tournament one over, with a three-day score of 214, good enough for a tie at 33rd. Senior Henry Chung moved up 13 spots after posting a one-under 70 on Tuesday, his best round of the tournament. Chung carded five birdies on the afternoon, his lone blemish a double-bogie on 18.
Tim Widing and Soren Lind also tied for 33rd. Widing wrapped up the tournament going two over on the day for a 73. Lind went four over on the front nine but played par golf on the back, finishing four-over 75.
Toby Briggs was three over to finish tied for 46th, followed by Jalen Griffin who was plus eight to finish tied for 68th.
Cal took home the overall team championship, finishing the tournament 41 under par, for a three-day score of 811. Cal's K.K. Limbhasut was the individual champion, he finished the final day two-under, to give him a three-day score of -15, 189.
The Dons will return to action on November 6 when they travel to Pebble Beach to play at the Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
