SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the second time this season, University of San Francisco women's soccer's junior forward Miciah Madison has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. 
 
The native of Tracy, Calif., helped the Dons go 1-0-1 and jumped up into the top half of the WCC standings after a crucial weekend.  For her part, Madison tallied four points on one goal and two assists.  The two assists give her 11 for the season which is a new single-season record at USF, breaking the mark set in 1994 by Jannik Abel. 
 
Madison opened the weekend with an assist in the double-overtime tie with visiting Gonzaga.  In the 55^th minute of that contest, Madison helped get the Dons on the board when she took a pass from Mia Villegas and sent a gorgeous cross to an awaiting Samantha Jehnings who sent the header to the back of the net for USF's only goal. 
 
Two days later, Madison and Jehnings were once again responsible for a goal when Madison took the ball up the right sideline sent a cross to Micaela Mercado who fed Jehnings for the goal.  The assist for Madison proved to be the record setting assist.  Nine minutes later it was Madison's turn to score a goal when she sent home a header on the corner kick in the 46^th minute. 
 
For the season, Madison has 19 points on the year, coming on four goals and 11 assists.  Her 11 assists are third in the nation, she's fifth in the NCAA in assists per game.  This is the third time this season a member of the Dons has earned WCC Player of the Week, second time for Madison who was named the conference's top player on September 3.
 
The Dons return to action on Thursday when they take their five-game unbeaten streak to Provo, Utah to take on host BYU.
