SAN FRANCISCO -- The University of San Francisco men's tennis team faced Saint Mary's Saturday afternoon at the Cal Club. In a clinch format, the Dons won 4-1.

USF started strong against Saint Mary's, securing the doubles points. Paul Giraud and Marco Barretto were the first to finish with a 6-0 win. While Johan Joenhagen and Mert Zincirli dropped their match 6-3, Ryan Marker and Oliver Poysti came back in a tight match, winning 7-6.

Singles started with a dropped match from Joenhagen, 0-6, 1-6, but Zincirli was quick to give his team the lead with a 6-4, 6-1 win. With wins from Marker (6-2, 6-3) and Giraud (6-3, 6-1), the match was clinched for the Dons.

"This was another great match for the Dons," said head coach Pablo Pires de Almeida. "We were able to win our second conference match in a row and I am really proud of the guys."
