LOS ANGELES -- The University of San Francisco men's tennis team faced Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon, and closed out its season with a 2-4 defeat.
The match started with a clinched doubles point from Loyola Marymount.
Paul Giraud and
Marco Barretto began with a 2-6 dropped match, and
Mert Zincirli and
Oliver Poysti followed with a 4-6 defeat. The last doubles match went unfinished.
The Dons were behind 0-3 after dropped singles from Barretto (0-6, 1-6) and Poysti (1-6, 1-6). Giraud and Marker came back for the Dons, each recording match wins, but Loyola Marymount clinched the match after Joenhagen fell in his singles. The last match went unfinished.
The Dons will not be advancing to the West Coast Conference Championships.
