SAN FRANCISCO -- The University of San Francisco women's tennis team faced Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon at the Olympic Club, and fell 0-5 in its last match of the season.
To start the day, Emily Maxfield and Mya Bui dropped their doubles match 2-6. Anna Sokiran and Shanna Dos Santos followed with a 3-6 defeat, and the doubles point went to LMU. Hanna Borjeson and Margarita Treyes' match went unfinished at 4-4.
Singles began with four dropped matches from the Dons. Bui put up a fight in her singles, winning her first set 7-6 and Alexa Meyer recorded a set win as well. Since the Dons were down 0-5, the match was clinched by Loyola Marymount, and Bui and Meyer's matches went unfinished.
The Dons will not be continuing on to the West Coast Conference Championships.
