SAN FRANCISCO – University of San Francisco athletics department has partnered with Lyft to make the San Francisco-based on-demand transportation company the Official Ride-Share Partner of the Dons.

The partnership was secured by Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment (VWSE), USF's marketing and sponsorship program management firm.

With this partnership, Lyft aims to provide safe and accessible transportation options for USF athletic events, and it includes a prominent marketing presence on social media, as well as on-campus broadcasts and in-venue promotion of convenient rides to and from campus. Designated pick-up and drop-off locations on game days will be outside War Memorial at Sobrato Center for Don's men's and women's basketball games. This partnership is another step in Lyft's mission to improve people's lives with the world's best transportation.

The new partnership includes a promotion that grants $10 in ride credit to new users with the code GOUSFDONS.

"USF has created a true community in the Bay Area. We're excited to be a part of this community and work with the USF Dons to provide a reliable transportation option for riders around campus," said Lyft's NorCal General Manager Dave Kunst.

"USF Athletics is excited to welcome Lyft as one of our athletic sponsors," said Frank Allocco, executive senior associate athletics director for External Relations. "The Dons truly are the city's team and this partnership will provide convenient door-to-door service from all areas of San Francisco to the historic War Memorial Gym at The Sobrato Center."
