Behind the Mask | Dons Spotlight the Athletic Performance Team

SAN FRANCISCO -- In the debut episode of season six of USF's cable television show, "Behind the Mask," we take a look at the Dons' Athletic Performance team, the dedicated individuals whose mission is to keep our athletes at their best so that they can compete at the highest level. 
 
The segment opens with Justin Leach, Assistant Director of Athletic Performance, introducing you to the Dons' new athletic training facility nicknamed "The Bridge." There our student athletes can interact with other teams, meet with our athletic trainers and strength and condition coaches, and get the attention they need to be their best.
 
The episode will also introduce you to our Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Training and head Athletic Trainer, Stephanie Ludwig. Ludwig has been with the Dons since 2014, breaks down the important of the athletic trainer.  They are the "hub of information" in regards to out student athletes.  We are also introduced to Yvonne Gomez, USF's Mental Performance Coach and Alyssa Haberman our clinical registered dietitian who helps coach our athletes on proper diet.  

The episode will also feature a segment on men's cross country runner Andy Snyder, the grad transfer from Washington who made his Dons debut at the USF Invitational where he placed sixth.  We will also be introduced to men's soccer first year head coach Leonard Griffin. As always, the episode will conclude with "Playmakers," highlighting top team and individual performances from USF athletes.
