Inside Perspective with Triathlon Head Coach Gina Kehr

SAN FRANCISCO — In the latest edition of USF's new video feature "Inside Perspective," Charles Wollin sits down with new women's triathlon head coach Gina Kehr. The two discuss how Kehr came into triathlon, becoming an elite competitor in the sport, and what it's been been like taking the reins of the Dons' newest varsity sport.

The new video segment by Katie Morgan, the Dons' Emmy award winning Director of Creative Video, with collaborative help from Woo Nguyen, USF's Creative Media Specialist, is hosted by Charles Wollin.

Each episode, Wollin will sit down with key members of the Dons' athletics family, including prominent members of the department, current student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and alumni, to discuss their lives in and around athletics outside the lines of competition.

In this episode, we are introduced to Kehr, who was hired in the summer of 2019 as USF's first head coach for varsity women's triathlon, the department's 17th sport. Kehr spent more than 10 years as a professional triathlete and was an All-American swimmer at both San Francisco State and Cal Poly.
