SAN BRUNO, Calif. – University of San Francisco women's golfer
Annika Borrelli was named to the West Coast Conference All-Conference team as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Borrelli, a freshman from Alamo, Calif., wrapped up her freshman campaign with a stellar outing at the WCC Championships capturing third. She was the top freshman finisher at the event.
For the year, Borrelli has played in all 10 of USF's tournaments and boasts an average round score of 75.33 which led the Dons. She tallied seven rounds of par or better this season with 67 birdies.
Borrelli began her collegiate career taking 22
nd at the Minnesota Invitational when she recorded 10 birdies. At the Las Vegas Invite later that fall she finished tied for 31
st with a season-best 218, she recorded a season-high 12 birdies in the tournament.
Pepperdine's Hira Naveed was named the WCC Player of the Year. Gonzaga's Quynn Duong was named the WCC Freshman of the Year. The Waves' head coach Laurie Gibbs was named the Coach of the Year.
