Box Score
LOS ANGELES – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team improved to 3-1-0 with a huge statement win over Big Ten foe Illinois at Sullivan Field in Los Angeles on Sunday. USF scored twice in the first half and added a third in the second en route to a dominating 3-0 win over the Illini.
"Great team win, we came with a game plan and we couldn't have executed that plan any better," said head coach
Jim Millinder. We attacked them on the flanks, our speed of play was good, we shared the ball up front a ton and that got us a lot of good looks, we have a lot of new faces scoring goals for us and that's huge. Defensively we were solid, we got a clean sheet against a team that just beat Pepperdine which is No. 22 in the nation! We preach that everyone has a role and if they execute we are going to play a lot of really good soccer."
